Rapsody is perfect for people who love all types of music
Rapsody is justly
named. Once subscribed, listeners have their pick of 60 built-in radio channels
with great skip-ahead features and a customizable radio station of up to 10
favorite artists. Its catalog of more than 330,000 tracks includes 25,000 full
albums from all five major record labels. Rapsody also has one of the best jukebox
style interfaces around, making it easy to navigate and create playlists as
well as preview songs before downloading, making listening with this service
indeed.
Rapsody
gives you unlimited, legal access to over 500,000 songs from 1,000s of artists
in one easy to use product. Burn custom CDs for only 79 cents per song, create
custom playlists for parties and listen to one of 69 ad free radio stations.
Try rapsody for 14 days.
Downloading may be the only place where the rhapsody ends and reality sets in. Of the huge catalog, 220,000 of the tracks are actually burnable. Purchased tracks must be burned directly to CD, bypassing any hard-drive storage and making later moving of the DRM-protected tracks a chore. Burning happens at faster speeds than almost any other music service we tried, and the price per download, even including the subscription fee, is a bargain at $.79. Still, we'd pay the extra 20 cents to be able to save the disk and burn tracks when we felt like it.
Rapsody User Opinons:
"This is not
a "File sharing program".."
For all you folks out there saying "Why use this, when you have kazaa?"
First off, this is a subscription based digital music jukebox..You have to pay
for the music you want..Unlike kazaa, there are no hackers, Nukers, Viruses,
Corrupted files. ETC. In my opinion this program provides piece of mind..Did
I mention the R.I.A.A. approves of this program? I hate the extortionist riaa,
but also like music and .79 cents a song is chump change. The only grievance
I have with Rapsody is you have to subscribe to the $9.95 a month services to
purchase tracks.
I chose to subscribe
to Rapsody,a big step for someone on a balanced budget. It is worth every penny.
It doesn't slow down my computer, it doesn't cram my hard drive, and there's
no pop-ups. Some songs can not be burned, but as I use my system as a stereo
I'm fine with that. Streaming audio isn't bad. . it saves on hard drive space.
The audio is CD-quality, and I like how it lists EVERY compilation the artist
has done. I would recommend this to everyone.
